This privacy policy specifically governs the use of BrewDay (mobile). For general corporate terms, GDPR/CCPA data protection rights, and website policies, please refer to our NovaSynapse Master Privacy Policy.

Scope

BrewDay is a birthday reminder, greeting creator and private memory app for iPhone. This policy describes the app. Website and external service privacy terms apply separately when you open those services.

Information on your device

BrewDay stores the information you enter or select: your optional name and birthday, people and their birthdays, relationship categories, photos, reminder settings and records of congratulations. Saved birthday Brews, bottles and greeting potions can include recipient names, personal messages, signatures, colours and chosen wishes. App settings, local recovery copies and interrupted-save records can contain related information. A local App Group shares a limited birthday snapshot and avatar cache with the widget.

Contacts, photos and notifications

Contacts access is optional. Within the access you grant, BrewDay reads names, identifiers, birthdays and thumbnails to show choices and update linked people. You choose whom to import; manual entry remains available. Linked phone numbers can be read for communication shortcuts. BrewDay does not read messages or call history.

The system photo picker provides only the avatar photos you select, rather than your entire photo library. With your permission, BrewDay schedules local birthday and app reminders. You can change Contacts and notification access in iOS Settings.

Motion and local processing

Live tilt and shake input animates the cauldron and bottles. BrewDay does not build a motion history or send motion data to a BrewDay server. The app has no BrewDay account, backend or cloud synchronization, and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. Your people, wishes and usage are not uploaded to NovaSynapse for advertising, analytics or AI processing.

Sharing and external applications

When you choose Share, the iOS share sheet passes your greeting image or text to the destination you select. The card can include recipient names, your message and signature. Calls, Messages, Telegram and WhatsApp shortcuts can pass a phone-number destination to the chosen app. Those services handle the data under their own policies. BrewDay does not send greetings automatically. Copies you share outside BrewDay are outside its deletion controls.

Purchases

Apple processes the optional one-time BrewDay Plus purchase. BrewDay checks Apple-verified entitlements and supports restoring purchases through StoreKit. These operations require communication with Apple. BrewDay does not receive payment card details. Deleting local data does not erase your Apple purchase record.

Retention and deletion

Information remains locally until you edit or delete it. Settings offers a confirmed Delete All Data action for app records, saved creations and managed reminders, and refreshes the widget snapshot. Recovery copies help protect against interrupted saves. BrewDay provides no cloud recovery account. Device backups and previously shared cards are managed separately by iOS or their destinations; deleting app records does not remove those copies. Device security and backup settings affect protection and recovery.
