Privacy Policy: Go Gob!

Overview

Go Gob! requires no registration and has no advertising or third-party analytics. We do not operate a server collecting workouts, video or user profiles. We do not sell these data or use them for advertising.

Camera

Front-camera video is processed only on your iPhone to count face movement or body points, depending on the selected mode. Video and frames are not recorded or sent to the developer. Go Gob! does not identify people or assess exercise technique.

The camera starts when you launch the counter or camera test with your permission. You can change permission in iOS Settings.

Motion Sensors

In floor-phone mode, accelerometer and gyroscope data help check that the phone stays still. They are processed on your iPhone, are not saved as a motion recording and are not uploaded automatically. Technical diagnostics may include phone stability status; you choose whether to include them in a support report.

Workouts and Preferences

Your starting estimate, goals, plans, rep history, effort ratings, rewards and preferences stay on your iPhone. The app and Screen Time extensions share a local App Group to work together. Reminders are local notifications enabled with your permission.

Data may be included in iPhone system backups depending on your device settings. Apple's terms and your device settings govern system backups and diagnostics.

Pact and Screen Time

The pact is voluntary. Apple's system interface lets you select distracting apps. Go Gob! stores system-provided tokens locally and uses them only for its own restrictions. Tokens are excluded from exports and support reports.

You can stop control in the app. Camera, notification and Screen Time permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. Go Gob! removes only its own restrictions.

Purchases

Apple processes payments and subscription renewals. Go Gob! uses StoreKit to verify the product, purchase date, access expiration and purchase revocation. The app receives no payment details and does not send workout history to Apple for these checks. Buying and restoring require internet.

Verified access expiration is stored on your iPhone, including for Screen Time extensions. Monthly and yearly subscriptions may include a seven-day trial if Apple confirms eligibility, followed by paid renewal unless canceled. Lifetime access is a separate one-time purchase without a trial.

Erasing workout data does not erase Apple purchases, cancel a subscription or reset trial eligibility. Manage subscriptions through the App Store.

Export and Support

You can export CSV history and create or restore JSON backups. A backup contains workout data and preferences, but not purchases or app-selection tokens. Go Gob! does not encrypt exported files. You choose where to save them and whom to share them with. Your chosen cloud or sharing service applies its own terms.

Support reports are optional: you write a description, review it and decide whether to send it. App and iOS versions can be excluded. Counter diagnostics require a separate choice. They may include recognized points, confidence and relative event timing, but no frames, video, workout history or app tokens. A short recognition-event buffer stays in memory and is not uploaded automatically.

Deletion and Permissions

Erase All Data in Go Gob! Settings clears local history, plans, rewards and preferences, cancels its own reminders, removes its own restrictions and returns the app to first launch.

Delete exported files, copies in other services and system backups separately. Uninstalling without a saved backup may cause data loss. Apple manages purchases and subscriptions separately from workout data.

Scope

This policy describes the native Go Gob! app and its extensions. General NovaSynapse website statements about accounts, advertising and web analytics do not describe the native app. If you visit the website yourself, its policy and cookie settings apply to browser requests and website data. Go Gob! does not attach workout data to those requests.

Opening the policy from the app connects the in-app viewer to novasynapse.com using temporary website storage. Go Gob! does not attach workouts, images or Screen Time tokens. The website policy and cookie settings apply to normal web-request data.
