The clipboard, made useful

Find it before the thought disappears.

Text, links, images, files, and credentials stay organized without asking you to manage them.

01

Smart Search

Search the way you remember.

Use words, source apps, content types, recognized image text, and exclusions together. Results narrow immediately while native text editing shortcuts keep working normally.

  • Multi-term matching across content, metadata, and image text
  • Negative terms remove noise
  • Native Select All, Undo, and text-field behavior

02

A library, not a pile

Every kind of clip has its place.

Jump between text, links, images, files, and credentials. Favorites stay close, while unlimited history keeps your library intact.

  • Seven focused content views
  • Forever history or a limit you choose
  • Source app and capture time at a glance

Images you can use

See the screenshot. Use the words inside it.

RecallThat pairs a large preview with locally recognized text and decoded QR content. Search what the image says, reuse the QR payload, or send an OTP setup to Password Manager.

  • OCR text and QR payloads stay together in mixed screenshots
  • Copy everything, one line, one word, or the decoded QR content
  • OTP setup QR codes become reviewable Password Manager entries
  • Original resolution stays visible on every image

Code and structured text

Recognize it. Refine it. Use it.

RecallThat identifies Markdown, JSON, YAML, and common source-code formats. Press Option-Return to adjust a command or snippet without changing the archived original.

  • Local classification never executes clipboard content
  • Native selection, Undo, Redo, Find, and syntax highlighting
  • Command-Return copies the edited draft

Optional Password Manager

A copied login should not become another thing to remember.

Sign-in details often arrive as a website, account, password, and OTP setup at different moments. RecallThat connects those nearby fragments on your Mac and presents one clear login for review.

  • See the service, website, account, password, and OTP together
  • Copy detected details immediately; saving is optional
  • Recognizes mixed labels and QR setup codes, then updates instead of duplicating
  • Optional Premium feature, off by default, encrypted locally, with no clipboard upload

Questions, answered plainly

Before RecallThat touches your clipboard.

Trust starts with knowing what the app does—and what it does not do.

Does my clipboard leave the Mac?

No. RecallThat archive, search, classification, and image recognition stay local. Purchase, license verification and update checks contact NovaSynapse; clipboard content is never sent.

Will it ask for a password every time it starts?

No. The default local key avoids a disruptive launch prompt. Optional macOS Keychain protection can be enabled in Settings.

How do I open RecallThat?

Press Option-Shift-W by default, choose the menu bar icon, or launch RecallThat from Spotlight. The shortcut is customizable.

Can I keep clipboard history forever?

Yes. Forever history is supported, along with custom retention and item limits when you prefer boundaries.

Does the Password Manager save every detected password automatically?

It is a Premium feature that is off by default. When enabled, detected logins are ready to copy immediately. Saving confirms a login and gives it priority; it is not required to use it.

Which macOS versions are supported?

RecallThat supports macOS 12 Monterey and later on Intel and Apple silicon. One universal DMG works on both.
