Privacy Policy: Copibo

Overview

The following product-specific terms govern the use of the native Copibo clipboard library application for macOS. General statements elsewhere regarding web tracking and advertising do not apply to this application.

Zero Telemetry & Offline Processing

• No Telemetry: Copibo captures and stores clipboard history on your Mac. It does not upload clipboard items, images, passwords or personal documents. The app contains no advertising or telemetry SDKs. Search, classification, OCR, QR recognition and optional Password Manager processing run locally.

Local Storage & AES Encryption

• Local Storage and AES Encryption: History and Password Manager data use encrypted local archives and encrypted record payloads. AES-256-GCM encryption is enabled by default. The local key is stored separately; optional macOS Keychain protection controls access to that key. We do not provide cloud storage or synchronization of clipboard content.
• Application Exclusion List: Copibo includes configurable privacy exclusion controls. You can exclude specific applications (such as password managers, banking apps, and sensitive terminals) from clipboard capture. The exclusion list is processed entirely on-device in memory before any clipboard entry is committed to local storage.

System Permissions & User Data Control

• System Permissions: Clipboard capture does not require Accessibility access. Optional instant paste and some global shortcuts use that permission. The app does not record unrelated keystrokes.
• User-Controlled Export and Deletion: You can delete individual clips or clear history in Settings. History export is a user-initiated, password-protected file containing clipboard items. Settings, licenses and Password Manager records are not included. Treat exported history as private data and share it only deliberately.

Licensing & Updates

• Updates and Licensing: Copibo connects to novasynapse.com solely to check for application updates (via Sparkle / HTTPS) or validate an active license. No clipboard records or decrypted metadata are ever included in these requests.
